Stroke then pregnant, #2
Fast forward 9 months and I'm in the hospital ready for our new addition to enter this world!
If only it were that simple!
As soon as I signed in to the hospital, my tremor began, ugh, embarrassing. I had to remind myself that I survived my stroke, so this was no big deal! My tremor started small but became obvious very quickly.
I was induced soon after I arrived. Eventually, the doctors broke my water. After which the pain started increasing, so I opted for an epidural. A couple of hours later, the pain kept growing, and they had to do the epidural AGAIN! After lots of sleep, uncomfy as it was, and after 30 hours (!) of labor, I had an emergency c-section.
By the time I had my baby, my tremor was non-stop. You know how your arm moves when you slightly bounce a baby, well the baby was bouncing whether I wanted it to or not. Luckily, as the medicine and emotions lessened, so did my tremor. It wasn't until I was home, and a few days passed that my tremor was somewhat "controllable" again.
Going back to my new addition, he was healthy! I'm so grateful because the doctors were trying to control the uncontrollable until he was here. Two days after he was born, we finally picked a name. On the third day, I was released to go home. "There's no place like home!"
Ten days after my c-section, I was back in the hospital ER due to complications. I had a blatter infection because of the catheter and ALMOST an abscess on my incision; fortunately, it was caught in time. After I received treatment, I was on the mend.
